Book Club Challenge

August 7, 2012 by Vicki

Come one, come all to hear my announcement. I have changed my focus for this blog from a  “Review” blog to a “Book Club” blog.  I believe that to call anything that I do on this blog a ‘Review” is inaccurate. I don’t grade the various books that I cover. I focus on garnering interest, curiosity and responses. Consequently, we are doing a book club of sorts. We gather together to examine and discuss various books and how their contents may or should impact our lives and our society. I try to treat each book that I read as an opportunity for growth and development. I also try to pick books that will challenge both my own ideas and societal preconceptions. I  challenge the participants of this book club to respond in kind and challenge us with ideas and concepts. I also challenge you for books that have shaken your world or preconceptions. Dare to be different, dare to howl at the moon and reach for the stars!
